Not sure why it took me so long to start this series, but I finally did, and I lived it! Can't wait to read the next book!
Bringing Down the Duke by Evie Dunmore
"A stunning debut for author Evie Dunmore and her Oxford suffragists in which a fiercely independent vicar’s daughter takes on a powerful duke in a fiery love story that threatens to upend the British social order."
Gosh, I loved Annabelle so much. It took longer for me to forgive Sebastian's haughty behavior, but he turned it around in the end!
Read this if you're interested in a strong-willed heroine and her bluestocking friends, historical fiction with a lot of focus on the current events of the time (namely the suffragist movement in Victorian England), and a slow burn romance across class.
