I absolutely loved this book. It's exciting, intriguing and at times emotional, with some great characters (including an AI character I adore). I was absolutely gripped and read the entire book in well under 24 hours, reluctantly putting it down to work and sleep. 

Probably the only thing which stopped me giving Skyward the full five stars is that occasionally the personality of the main character grated on me a little bit, but even if I sometimes found her irritating there's still a lot about her that's interesting too. 

Events and revelations towards the end of the book make me desperate to read the sequel, which I had ordered before even finishing book one. 

Highly recommended.
