The Hidden Life of Trees: What They Feel, How They Communicate
by Peter Wohlleben
The book was fascinating and gave me high level insight into trees as living beings that I had never read before. Definitely changes your view of trees in nature, farmed trees, and ornaments trees. That said, I found the overuse of anthropomorphism irritating at times. I do think it helps bring empathy and helps lay people understand the concepts, but it was used a lot. Still worth a read if you want to learn more about the natural world and it’s a very accessible book.
