The Pumpkin Spice Café
by Laurie Gilmore
You’ll need a neck brace after reading this, because the emotional back and forth is neck breaking. *I didn’t realize it was lack of communication trope* The first 271 pages is a bunch of prolonged emotional edging and the last 200 pages are them being together, then not, then together “for sure” then not then together again, etc. it was irritating. The first 1/2 of the book was good, the middle was meh, and the last 1/4 was pretty infuriating. 2.75 stars because it was just ok. Ok to break up in between more serious and in depth books because the plot of this book was nonexistent and more of just a… cozy? Time? I’m iffy about this book all in all
