When I first started Perfect Opposite I was bored for the first chapter or two. It didn't sound like the kind of book I thought it would be from the summary and I just wasn't sure it was something I was in the mood for. I even almost put it aside and started reading something else. Thinking that I would come back to this one when I was more in the mood. But I told myself to read a couple of more chapters and see where it took me. Well, flash forward to hours later at 2 am, and I had finished the whole book in one night. I couldn't put it down, and looking back I can't believe that I also put this book aside. Perfect Opposite is an exhilarating read! It is the the furthest thing from boring. I loved it.

Sasha is the daughter of a very powerful Russian weapons dealer. Alex is assigned to be her personal bodyguard. Sasha is aware of what her dad does and she wants to distance herself from him and just try and live a normal life. I don't blame her for this, considering that in her old life with her father, she was the one that found her mothers body hacked to pieces. She has been very well provided for, but make no mistake. This girl has had it rough.

Alex is the very picture of brooding. When we first meet him, he hardly says any words at all. He just silently follows Sasha around. I couldn't figure him out for the longest time. He is so closed off that it is really hard to get to know him. I appreciated that Sasha and him acted realistically in their situation. She was not happy to have a body guard and because of that they fought all the way up until the end. There was no insta love in this book. No it was slow and gradual and it snuck up on both of them. I loved that. Zoya Tessi does an excellent job with subtle but steady progression in her romance and plot.

I could not figure out what was going to happen in Perfect Opposite. I was blind sided by the plot more than once, which I have to say is pretty rare for me. And Alex completely grew on me. Just like Sasha, I went from confused about him to not even realizing I loved him. Perfect Opposite is an action packed. I mean real fighting, edge of your seat action, along with a romance that completely rocked. I loved Alex and Sasha and I think you will too.
