Ugly Love
by Colleen Hoover
4.5/5 stars
This would have been a 5-star read for me had it not included quite so much sexual content. Other than that, I loved every aspect of this book.
This is the third CoHo book I've read so far, so I was not surprised by all of the emotions it made me feel. Colleen Hoover is just so good at writing books that make you feel for the characters.
To say this story was heartbreaking at times would be an understatement. Miles had such a tragic backstory, and I couldn't help but hurt for him.
I'm always a fan of dual POVs, so it was nice to read from both Miles and Tate's perspectives. I don't always enjoy reading dual timelines, but it worked so well for this book. Seeing Miles' past was so important in understanding his character.
As the story went on, I was so worried about finding out exactly what had happened in Miles' past because I knew it had to be terrible based on the issues he was still dealing with.
There were so many good moments between Tate and Miles, and I loved how they were with each other. It was nice to see Miles so happy.
Overall, I highly recommend this book, but be prepared for it to pull on your heartstrings!
