This was a recommendation to fill out a challenge prompt. This is my first book by Haddix and it was a really quick read. It is intended for a much younger audience and it's apparent. It was quite simplistic in plot and character development but I did enjoy my time with it. I was really rooting for Jessie throughout this book. I do wish we would have gotten a little more from the ending but that's okay.
