The Apothecary Diaries, Volume 1
by Itsuki Nanao, Natsu Hyuuga
This is a pretty fun, and interesting manga, with a great main lead.
Maomao is taken away when found in a forest and put to being basically a serverent for higher ups. But they soon learn of her talents, especially ones of knowing which poisons are what and how they might effect people. So she becomes basically a taster for food to make sure no one is poisoning the high ups. At the same time there's character and world building thrown at you to get absorbed into the world.
And while I'm not FULLY invested in the whole world I do enjoy the characters given and especially Maomao as she's really intriguing character. I'm wondering how we can evolve this as right now feels like almost a case of the week type feel but still intrigued.
