I will always enjoy reading this book and no one can convince me that Shirley Jackson didn't intend to write Theo as a lesbian. I still haven't seen the show but I've heard that Theo is explicitly queer and doesn't die so maybe I will watch that sometime, especially since I need a distraction from what's going on in the world.
