I didn't know much about this John Quincy Adams beyond the fact that he was a president and related to John Adams, also president. I found this book on audible, and it was included with my membership for free, so I gave it a listen while I played my games on my phone. It was a lot shorter than most presidential biographies, but I felt like it was adequate enough. I learned a lot of things I never knew before, which is the purpose of reading historical books. I would like to read at least one biography of every United States President, so this helped me forward in that goal. I had no idea that he was a witness to Bunker Hill, or that he was against slavery in a time when it was very unpopular to be. I think he was an interesting character and a bastion of early American history.
