The Days Between

emotional
tense
fast-paced
20 years ago, Kathryn left Andrew with no explanation. Then they ran into each other in a coffee shop where she was talking to a boy who looked EXACTLY like him on the phone.
This starts a long, complicated (but easy to read) rush of the past catching up with the present.
This was a really good multi layered family drama which I read in one sitting. I just couldn't stop turning the pages fast enough. The characters are well fleshed out and I really felt what they were going through coming through the pages. There are a lot of tough topics covered- infertility, addiction, suicidal ideation- but just written with care.
