Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
5.0

I read this for my English class, and ironically, many of my peers did not complete the book as part of the assignment, opting to watch the movie instead.

Pages 54-60, the afterward, and the coda were what make this book a 5-star-read for me. The things Bradbury was trying to say/warn us of really moved me; Beatty’s speech to Montag about why and how books got censored was beautiful and depicts an eerie future that comes ever so closer by the day. I think I read Fahrenheit 451 at the perfect time.

Now, I’m going to go think about it some more and truly digest what I’ve read (Rule 2).
