The story begins with Melissa's POV, she has a one night stand with the hero of the story, Ridge, but runs on in the early hours of the morning.

A few months later in the story, Ridge is still pinning over this girl from the one night stand. His friends, annoyed with this attitude bet him that he can't handle a relationship for 3 months. He finds a girl and he is happy with their arrangement that they have been in for a couple months, until one day his entire world changes.

While driving to his FWB home he notices an accident and he stops and pulls out an injured woman from the wreckage. There is something telling him that he needs to go to the hospital with this woman.

Well it turns out the woman he saved was the one person he couldn't stop thinking of, Melissa, and she was pregnant with his child. Their child is born and Melissa sadly passes away.

In comes Kendall, the nurse at the doctors office Ridge takes his son to. Kendall thinks Ridge lost the love of his life, but their is a lot of flirting between the two. Finally, Kendall gives in.

Let's just say there is a lot of ups and down in their relationship but it is such a beautiful thing to watch grow over time. Their friends are all supportive of them as well.

This was an interesting story because it does begin with Melissa and Ridge, which was beautifully tragic and then switches to Kendall and Ridge which is beautiful in itself.
