Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
5.0

This group of loveable, loveable thieves! Man it feels good to be back in the Grishaverse. I am so invested in the Dregs and their adventures. This book is everything a YA fantasy book should be! Can I join their next heist? It did take me a bit to wrap my head around where I was time and location wise between this duology and the Shadow and Bone trilogy, but I got there! I was laughing out loud and yelling at all the characters. Thank goodness for books that switch POV each chapter to create well developed characters and deeper relationships. Also... can we talk about Kaz & Ienj & Nina & Matthias & Jesper & Wylan? I need to know more about each of their stories. And I am invested in some of this potential romance. Ugh. Can we also talk about the fact that Leigh Bardugo continues to use this world and these series to grapple with nationalism, slavery, and racism? It's powerful. I highly recommend reading Six of Crows and all of the books in the Grishaverse!
