The Reckless Oath We Made by Bryn Greenwood
4.0

4 stars.

When I picked up The Reckless Oath We Made for a buddy read, I was fully expecting not to enjoy it due to the fact that All the Ugly and Wonderful Things is a book that I didn't care for. However, I was proved wrong.

Bryn Greenwood successfully crafted a book full of family drama and crime. I can't speak to how successful she was on writing an Autistic character as I don't feel that it's my place to say anything on something that I don't have knowledge on. However, Gentry stole my heart. Who doesn't want a man that will come rescue you when you need him? Especially when you're dealing with a missing sister, a hoarding mother, eviction, and you were just fired.

The relationship between Zee and Gentry was sweet and (not so) innocent. Her mother clearly didn't care, his mother cared too much. She didn't have friends, he had a misfit group of friends that would shape the story line.

I don't want to share any spoilers, so this is all that I can say.

She wanted to believe her sister was innocent, but is she?

I can't recommend this enough. You won't want to put it down.
