This one was so scary! Maybe it was the fact that it takes place near where I live, but I honestly have never been so terrified to read a book before. I think I probably would’ve not been able to finish this one if I was a parent because of the anxiety it would’ve caused about child kidnappings. However, despite its ability to horrify me, it was very predictable — hence the three stars. I feel like after the halfway point, there really wasn’t any substantial plot and could’ve been edited to be more surprising.
