I can't seem to decide whether two or three stars are more appropriate for the way I currently feel. The book was okay, I really liked the characters and was thinking about a four star review (not five, the book felt too melodramatic sometimes). But the way the book ended, the way absolutely NOTHING got resolved (well, apart from establishing the main couple, which is a thing I could live without) got me furiously pissed off. It's as if 30 pages before the end the author got a deal for a second book and said fuck you, I won't write a word more. I can't recall a book that ended more abruptly than this one. It felt like a slap in my face and I don't even know if I want to read the rest of the series now (I probably will, but I have to calm down first, I guess).
