This was an enjoyable read, but I must say, it was heavy and emotional and I didn't expect to be that invested or to be reading about the topics covered, particularly Mia's journey. It should definitely come with heavy trigger warnings. With that being said, I definitely was hooked and wanted to know the backstory and what would happen to Mia, Max and Nate. I don't want to say too much because it might spoil it, but it was quite the journey, seeing Mia go from broken to finding herself and her inner strength, thanks to the help of Max, Yaz, Teddy, Verity and Heath. If you're looking for smut, there is just a drop of it, so it's not really spicy at all, but given the subject matter, I think that was very appropriate. Overall, I liked this story and would recommend to others, if you can handle the toll it will take.
