Quick Review: I liked this book more than I thought I would! Tropes and Genres: Slowburn, Rivals to lovers, Enemies to lovers, sports romance. This is really important because this is a SLOWslowburn... It has some flaws but overall I had a great time!
Liked: The character 's families were great. I loved the dynamics and scenes a lot! The main characters are fine but the tension- the tension was incredible and because the book was so long they and you (the reader) had more than enough time to bond. If you aren't an ice skating expert (like me) it's still easy to follow this part of the story line. My favourite scenes have to be the struggles that come with dedicating your life to a sport and how they dealt with that.
Weird: The nickname "Meatball". Well, you get used to it but I thought it is worth mentioning.
Problematic: The magazine storylinethey do a naked photoshoot for a magazine. Don't ask me why but it was more than uncomfortable and the physical relationship pretty much built upon that. and the author's opinion on women shaving. (Just a weird comment on that in the end of the book.)
Disliked: The length. Way too long but it's a slowburn I guess.
