Night Broken is the eighth book in the Mercy Thompson series. It is an urban fantasy series set in the modern era, where fae had come out to humans. The series features Mercy Thompson a coyote walker who was raised by werewolves. 

 

I have been trying to see what I could say without spoiling the early books, and there is not much. The series is really good at building and growing instead of becoming completely formalistic. I mean they each do have a sort of pattern to them, but one that keeps the characters growing. 

 

I was really craving a comfort read that I could just sink into and this was perfect. It is a reread, but I’ve only read it a handful of times, unlike the earlier books. It was also just really good. I mean I love the series, but Night Broken just was one of the better ones. 

 

Seriously, if you haven’t picked up this series yet you should try it.
