White Cat follows Cassel, a boy without powers in a family of curse-workers. When strange events occur, Cassel realizes certain memories in his life aren’t adding up. Such a creative story (from worldbuilding to magic system design), I couldn’t put White Cat down! I absolutely love Holly Black’s writing and consistently find myself amazed by how she combines unique magical concepts with the real world. If you enjoy stories about cons, curses, magic, and manipulation, then you should definitely pick this up. I can’t wait to read the next installment in this trilogy!
