Croak by Gina Damico

This was a really entertaining read. I've read this kind of story before, humans put in charge of being grim reapers. Scythe comes to mind pretty quickly, but Croak is somewhat more simple and light hearted. True, there are some messed up things that occur, but not to the same scale of the other book and with more sass and sarcasm.

The worldbuilding could be more expanded, such as why are the Grims a thing in the first place, but perhaps that's explained later in the series, hopefully.

Also, there may have been too many secondary characters, with some getting more focus than others, making the mixture unbalanced.

While it isn't the greatest story I've read with this concept, I still enjoyed it.
