The Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter
5.0

By the time I borrowed it from my library I had completely forgot what it was about, which I think helped make it more intriguing.

Karin writing is amazing. This didn't feel like a book over 500 pages. Infact I read it within a few hours. I was captivated from the beginning.

One of the protagonists is legally blind and walks with a cane. I'm happy about the diversity, I don't think I've read a crime/mystery/thriller with a character like Sam before.

The story itself started with a bang. With a short introduction to a life-changing event that happened to Charlie and Sam twenty eight years prior. leaving me wanting more. I wanted to know what happened afterwards.

The plot twist had me shocked. I hadn't seen it coming. Nor did the truth about Huck. I had brushed off his weird behaviour after he learnt who Charlie's father was. I assumed he was judgemental like others in the town.
