Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood
by Trevor Noah
emotional
funny
informative
reflective
fast-paced
Trevor Noah knows how to tell a story, and how to tell right. Each chapter was like it's own short story with a clear message, a good chuckle elicited at least in one spot, and a glimpse into history and another place's culture and reality. Overall the book was a cohesive and well chosen insight into Trevor's childhood through young adulthood. This is everything I could hope a celebrity-written book could be. Clever, insightful, meaningful and raw.
