I couldn't quite put my finger on why I loved this book so much, and then I saw that it was Beauty and the Beast-inspired and the light clicked on. THIS. WAS. AMAZING!!! A standalone fantasy novel is always a challenge trying to fit in all the world-building, but the author did a fantastic job of giving you all the information you needed, without just overwhelming you with it. This book has everything you'd expect - dragons, curses, royalty, arranged marriage, forced proximity - you name it! And the burn between Sia and our dragon-king, Theo? Perfection! The sarcastic banter and chemistry between these two was spot-on, and the build-up between Sia and Theo felt well-earned. I love myself a good "My Wife" moment and this did not disappoint. I can't wait to read more of the Dragons of Sin universe!
