Luke
by Cora Rose
Luke (Unexpected book 4) by Cora Rose ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I loved Luke's character in the previous books of this series and was really looking forward to him getting his own book. Luke is, in essence, the life of the party. He's always smiling, enjoying life and up for any and all wild adventures.
Elliot is Luke's complete opposite. He's grumpy, stoic and has a constant scowl on his face. He has perfected his grumpy persona over the years in order to push people away and protect himself from being hurt again.
After their chance meeting, Luke can't seem to leave Elliot alone and despite his protests, it's clear that Elliot doesn't want him to either. Luke starts to break Elliot's walls down, brick by brick and eventually works his way into Elliot's life and heart.
Luke is an absolute sweetheart through and through. He constantly showered Elliot with affection, even when he didn't get much in return. He was always patient with Elliot and never pushed him, knowing that Elliot needed more time to process. And when Elliot finally embraces his feelings and lets himself be happy, he gives Luke his affection back tenfold.
As always, the Van Beek family are a welcome addition to the story and Elliot's sisters are just as crazy and wild, allowing the two families to fit together seamlessly.
This book has slightly less angst than the previous three which made it a much lighter read and overall an extremely enjoyable story.
