I chose this book solely because I was looking for a breezy, wholesome holiday murder read, because that is certainly a mood that strikes during the Christmas season. While reading it, however, I felt elements of the plot to be eerily familiar, eventually realizing that this novel felt like an early draft of Knives Out. So, if that is something you are interested in, feel free to give it a go, though I must admit the movie is funnier (sorry, Agatha Christie).
