Here’s the thing: this book is total cheese. It’s maybe the corniest thing I’ve read all year, and I absolutely loved it. I think it could have easily been around 50-100 pages shorter (bc I prefer a tight story) but I already really really liked it. What really got me was the complete change in tone between the first & second half - ok, not complete, but the first feels very care-free and spontaneous and the 2nd half constantly has this tension underneath the surface. I really like that! I think it’s a great twist on the YA Romance genre.
