Whispering Hills
by Taryn Browning
This book was so great! This is not your average ghost story by any means. Whispering Hills keeps you guessing, intrigued and engaged. I was sucked in from the very first page and then the next thing I know I'm done with the book and immediately wanting more.
Alexis is cool and I immediately connected with her. I thought Chance was beyond adorable too. Plus Chance is a great name. I have actually been seeing it a lot lately. He was great, but it certainly took Alexis long enough to actually realize that.
The writing is so easy. Your eyes just flow over the words and you get sucked right into the story. It just seems effortless for Taryn Browning. I need to read more books by her ASAP! She really knows how to use character building to a story's advantage. I fell in love with Alexis and Chance. I am dying to find out what will happen with them next. This is such a unique take on your average ghost story, and its really refreshing and interesting to see how it all comes together.
What I loved the most about Whispering Hills was how well it set up the stage for a kick ass second book. With a lot of the puzzle pieces falling into place, and a few surprise twists and turns, book two seems like it would be super interesting! There had better be a book 2! Great book, read it now! What are you waiting for? Go!
