The Unworthy
by Agustina Bazterrica
I honestly really preferred this to Tender is the Flesh. Bazterrica is a master at portraying post climate collapse world and societies. This was so eery and the tone was set from the very beginning. I loved how the story is presented as a series of journal entries and the way that the narrator gave more context, not only of the world "now" but how it was when she was a child, and even things that her mother and grandfather had experienced. I loved the little and big acts of rebellion, including how the narrator fell in love, as well as the ambiguous ending.
