The best part of Batgirl is the team on the book WORKS. They’re cohesive, on the same page, and consistently delivering quality stories and art (how perfect is it that BABS TARR is the artist for this book?). (some Bat-Family spoilers ahead; no Batgirl spoilers, though!)

This book is so great for all ages. It’s focused on friendships, family, and being a butt kicking group of women.

Going into the second story, if you’re not reading the other Bat-Fam books, you should know that ****SPOILERS*** Bruce Wayne is currently not Batman. There’s a little quip about Jim Gordon looking too young to be Babs’ dad. ;)

What you’ll love:

-Bat-Fam crossover in the annual, including Gotham Academy (Maps+Olive can totally be in my Superhero Club)
-TIGERS.
-Diversity all over the place
-Babs using her super brain to solve mathematical patterns
-Frankie and Babs getting through Frankie’s discovery that her BFF is Batgirl.
-A few certain someones come to visit for the annual and then again in a big event in issue 45 (my favorite by far!)
-Luke…And those little scenes
-Babs and her motorcycle, especially in the annual
