I feel like the premise was so good but ultimately the execution fell flat. Books cant be carried by vibes alone and that what this felt like. I disliked the romance that felt haphazardly thrown in. I hated how the fmc defended not going to the police as soon as she saw her former teacher with a high school girl. The first big plot twist was too heavily foreshadowed and the second twist didn’t make sense in the story, almost like the author knew that ppl would guess the first and just needed something to confuse readers. Also I hate when antagonists explain every detail of their evil plan, it’s annoying as hell and feels like the author doesn’t trust the reader to understand the motivations of the antagonists.
