Great and evocative writing but there’s not much to the story. And reading this after the recent ‘Fall of the House of Usher’ series I thought this book would follow similar plot points, or be even better. That is my own fault, but it still doesn’t change the disappointment I felt reading this. It’s still an important piece of fiction, there’s no doubt about that.
