It feels like every time I read a new book by this author I decide that these two new main characters are my new favourite. Even when a couple of other favourites have cameo appearances!

Wren and Matteo are just so well written. Wren is so witty and optimistically cheerful despite a less than favourable life whilst Matteo comes from wealth and appears to have it all. Circumstances bring them together in Majorca and so begins a friendship where they truly get to know one another. A friendship that morphs into more where, unwilling to part from Wren, Matteo invites him to his home in Venice. All is not smooth sailing due to toxic family members and a couple of other issues but even though their HEA is threatened it is not derailed.

This a a beautifully written romance that is a heartfelt and heartwarming story of two men’s journey of discovery, the discovery of love and what the important things in life are. There’s the customary Lily Morton witty banter, a great cast of interesting side characters, an enjoyable and engaging plot and some feels to contend with.
