Someone We Know

1,5/5 Ouchh! one of my biggest disappointment of the year! A soap opera with a murder. Nothing really thrilling here, totally blank and clichés characters, a plot that bounce around everywhere trying to surprise you, the two dumbest cops ever and a lot of plot holes. I don't get the enthusiastic rating it has so far, close to 4 out of 5, which is crazy. I like to small town or neighborhood thriller where everyone have dark secrets, but it isn't the case here, not secret, just a bunch of adult cheating their partners and sleeping with each others. Everybody lie to the cops once or twice, they,re coming back, taking excuse, a new explanation, something left out, and later they come back again for the entire truth... And then, the ending. Was it a plot hole that even the author wasn't interest in filling? Did she left a door open for a sequel (thriller for sequel shouldn't even be allow)? I don't know. After liking two of her first three book (I haven't read A Stranger in the House yet, but I own it so I will eventually) this one isn't in the same category at all. A poor thriller that isn't worth it!
