I'm still not a huge fan of Clary and Jace. Personally, I feel like this series could have ended as the original trilogy. Some of the plot points seem like a bit of a stretch, and I would prefer to have more books about Will, Tessa, and Jem. But, I still need to know what happens next, so here we are!

Simon is still one of my favorite aspects of this series, but also Magnus and Alec. Honestly, I can't wait to read the Bane Chronicles. The more and more I read about Magnus Bane, the more I like about him! I will say I appreciate the way that Clare writes action because it's easy to follow. Even if most of her characters act pretty rashly.

The narration for this series is decent too, aside from the fact that there's a different narrator for each book. It would feel more consistent if the narration was the same throughout. All in all, I'll at least finish the last book in this series!
