All These Monsters was a fast-paced and delightful read. I was completely hooked from the beginning! Clara is a fierce and passionate character, who is forced into an impossible situation when her abusive father returns home. Seeking to escape, Clara signs up to fight scrabs. Scrabs are violent monsters that mysteriously appear from belowground and attack humans. As she gets to know the group of fighters, it is clear that the scrabs are not the only monsters she must battle.

One of my favorite parts about this book is the intelligent exploration of abusive relationships, including the subtle ways this can occur, and gaslighting. If you love monster-fighting squads, intense fight scenes, and lovable characters, check out All These Monsters! I can’t wait to find out more about the scrabs and how Clara’s adventures continue!!
