It's an exciting time for Queer publishing, particularly in the YA genre. I was thrilled to discover this work and even more thrilled at how well it addressed Intersex issues. It is by no means perfect, what book is? But the author strives to create a complex intersex character whose struggles are easily relatable. It's important for readers to both see themselves in fiction and for people to read beyond their own experience. This book gives young adults the opportunity to do just that.
