Being part of a sports team at an art school isn't an experience I get to share with a lot of people, but I'm glad I got to share it with Molly Bauer and the rest of the team Ngozi and Mad brought to life in this book. An emotional and honest look at both what it means to be part of a team that is cobbled together of spare parts but out here doing their best, and the complicated relationship of school and community when the lines of right and wrong get blurry. Smooth pacing, sharp dialogue, and killer artwork-- especially loved the motion in the action/game scenes. You can't pick and choose when it hurts, but you can decide to get back up and pull your team back to their feet.
