I think for the main character alone, I really liked this book. I’ve never read a book that had a Deaf main character, and I really liked it. I thought how language was used was fascinating, and how Maya’s relationships changed worked well. I did have trouble with Maya at first, with how judgmental she was, but she grew enough that it was ok by the end.
