This book was the equivalent of a Christmas special episode of a long-running TV show designed to make you feel good and tide you over between seasons (or in this case between book releases).
A Court of Frost and Starlight is the fourth book in the ACOTAR series and is a very quick read, coming in at approx. 200 pages. It features all the best of the ACOTAR characters and introduces multi-perspective (showing the viewpoint of Cassian, Mor, Rhys, and Nesta). Each character gets their own heart-warming moment and nothing much else happens to significantly progress or impact the overall story.
If you go into this book viewing it as an extended epilogue to A Court of Wings and Ruin, it is enjoyable, though a little lacklustre read that sets up a nice bridge to A Court of Silver Flames, establishing a foundation for Nesta and Cassian's story.
