Lorne: The Man Who Invented Saturday Night Live
by Susan Morrison
As an avid lifelong SNL truther, all 23 hours of this audiobook scratched a deeeep itch in my brain... and also only confirmed to me that (if I ever got famous and met Lorne Michaels lol) that man would noooot like me. But respect, king <3
YOU GUYS, I could seriously go on for hours about what an amazing read this was. IT IS A MAMMOTH OF A BOOK, and yet it never felt unnecessary or uninteresting. Like... to me, this was all capital H, capital G "Hot Goss" (Lorne Michaels bought Amy Poehler's veneers.... actually HUGE that I know that now).
I do wish that we got any small crumb about the current cast (post the one 2018 episode the book follows), but also, this thing took NINE YEARS to write..... so I will take what I get.
