Eragon
by Christopher Paolini
It's been a while since I've read Eragon, but I still enjoyed the adventure and meeting the characters. The narrator does a weird voice for Saphira, though. When she first mind-speaks to Eragon her voice is described as "deep and clear" which is fine, but he does this crazy gravelly painful to listen to voice. Maybe that's how the author heard it in his head, but it's weird to me.
