The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices are my favourite book series ever, and Magnus Bane is one of my favourite characters. I was really looking forward to reading this, but honestly I was disappointed with it, to the point that it took me 8 months to get through it. All of the stories felt rushed, and as a whole it didn't seem like there was a lot of effort put into it. Sometimes the humour was good, but generally it seemed like they were trying too hard to be witty and it ended up being awkward and made the writing not flow very well. I'm giving it 2 stars because there were a couple stories that I didn't hate, although I wouldn't go so far as to say I liked them. Overall I'm just super disappointed with this.
