City of Girls
by Elizabeth Gilbert
Absolutely LOVED the first half of this book, with its details and depictions of life in New York City and the theater scene. Then I felt like the second half was a shadow of the first, just trying to quickly sum up decades in the same span that the first half talked about one year’s worth of events. I liked the overall message and theme of the book, but wanted more from Vivian as she matured.
