I have mixed feelings about this book. I found the setting and the story appropriately creepy, so it gets a high score there, but the characters were frequently transparent and insufferable and some of the writing was uninspired. Not great literature, but still an entertaining read for those into creepy stuff. I wish I could have seen this story brought to life in the hands of someone like Stephen King instead though.
