This book has everything you want for a love story meant to happen no matter how many years pass until the chance to even dream of a future together is happening.
In Throne of Lies we know that the couple had to go on their ways regardless of their feelings because of their families business and what hell came after the news broke about that business. Both Tripp and Jolie had to go separate ways and leave New York to find their way in life and live without the fancy lifestyle they were used to.
Ten years after that, they both go back to the city where they were born and lived, where they fell in love and dreamed of a future together. Jolie is a well-paid model and Tripp has his own business. Their second chance at love starts with a kiss that melted my heart because of the settings and the way each one of them felt, all the years they have been apart forgotten in an instance and giving in to each other.
No real love story is without twists and turns ,and the ones that goes between them will keep you on the edge of you seat not wanting to put the book down just to find out what will happen next and how all this is going to solve because there were times when you just can't predict what will happen (like in other stories).
