Quincie Morris, like her Draculan namesake, is a fierce and devoted Texan, and unlike her namesake, is a teenager trying to help her family restaurant survive, get through senior year, and kiss her best friend. And, oh yeah -- her best friend is a werewolf, and vampires are real too (think Sookie Stackhouse lite). The best part of this story is the mystery: while trying to get through her day to day life and get the restaurant back up and running after its remodel and temporary closure, Quincie is struggling to keep everything running smoothly while trying to find out who killed Vaggio, family friend and head chef. It's a fun read, but not very memorable.
