This was a real page-turner of a book despite how short it is. I really hated Todd though. He was such an asshole to Jodi and Natasha. I know there are people who probably hate Natasha, but all the blame goes to Todd in my opinion. If I had been younger when I read this I probably would have hated Natasha for being a "homewrecker." Also, I kind of already knew who would end up getting for the murder of Todd because it was predictable. Despite his regrets at the end, I was still glad when Todd died.

It seems like every book that features an imperfect marriage is compared to Gone Girl. The comparison doesn't do this book any favor because Jodi is nothing like Amy besides the fact that they both have to resort to extreme measures to protect themselves in a world that is not kind to women, but Todd is kind of similar to Nick in the sense that they are both assholes with a sense of entitlement.
