Wow...I haven't read a book that gripped me as much as this one did in a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. After a read recommended it to me, I decided to read - having not ventured into the suspense genre before and boy I was not disappointed. The plot of this story was so suspenseful and I enjoyed trying to uncover the mystery with the characters. McManus did a fantastic job at making me want to read more. I liked all the characters a lot and enjoyed how they grew throughout the story. They seemed real and were dealing with real issues. The climax of the book where everything is revealed was so....wow. I couldn't believe it. I don't wanna say any more than that because I want to keep this review spoiler free but I was truly shocked.

All in all, this is a fantastic read for those who enjoy suspense or those who are just venturing into the genre. It's well-rounded characters and intricately detailed and put-together plot make for an exciting read that you won't be able to put down.

Also, the premise could be summarised as "The Breakfast Club, but the basket case gets murdered" and I think that's okay and kinda cool.
